Companies need to utilize their influence to ensure the well-being of all workers involved in the production of its products. Specifically,

  • Companies should adopt written guidelines that include specific language based on the International Labor Organization’s core labor conventions and the standards articulated in the Principles for Global Corporate Responsibility: Bench Marks for Measuring Business Performance.

  • Companies should adopt a method of compliance that includes an independent monitoring component.
